Winter track days in Spain 2027: the honest guide for riders escaping the cold
1. November 2026 · von Luka TrekmanFive Spanish circuits, more than 100 track days from January to March 2027. Which one suits your bike, what a day costs, how your bike gets there, and the dates you can book now.
Back home it's 3°C, wet and dark by five. In the south of Spain it's dry, mid-teens by late morning, and there are more than 100 track days between January and March 2027 on BookREVS alone. Same licence, same leathers, same bike.
Plenty of riders stop at the thought. The bike has to get there, the costs are a mystery, and few people tell you which circuit suits your bike. This guide is for riders who want to go: which circuit suits your bike and your level, what a day costs, how your bike gets there, and the dates you can book right now.
The short version
- Driest and cheapest: Almería and Circuito de Andalucía, in the southeast. Lots of dates, lowest prices.
- The big names: Jerez and Valencia. MotoGP tracks, more organizers, higher prices.
- Underrated: Cartagena. Tight, technical, 25 minutes from Murcia airport, and a 600 feels right at home.
- Track time: roughly €125 to €435 per riding day on BookREVS this winter, depending on circuit, organizer and group size.
- Book early: January and February dates fill first.
What it really costs
Track time is only part of the bill. A typical three- to four-day trip includes:
- Track time: about €125 to €435 a day on BookREVS this winter
- Bike transport: most organizers truck bikes from collection points in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Scandinavia. Ask when you book.
- Tyres: about one set a day if you ride hard. Pre-order with the organizer, because winter stock runs out.
- Flights, hotel and a hire car
- Insurance: medical and repatriation cover that includes track riding
Riders who've done it often report somewhere around €1,700 to €2,300 all-in for four days. Prices are for winter 2026/27 at the time of writing, so check the event page before you book.
Why book through BookREVS

The circuits at a glance
Typical price per riding day on BookREVS for January to March 2027, at the time of writing:
- Almería: desert, dry, 25 track days, about €155 a day
- Circuito de Andalucía: also near Almería, 15 track days, about €180 a day
- Cartagena: short and technical, 10 track days, about €180 a day
- Valencia (Ricardo Tormo): MotoGP stadium track, 32 track days, about €260 a day
- Jerez: home of the Spanish MotoGP round, 19 track days from 11 organizers, about €265 a day
Almería: the desert option
Almería sits in the Tabernas desert, the driest corner of mainland Europe. If you care more about riding every session than about the name on the gate, this is where you go. Rain-outs are rare, organizers run lots of dates here, and prices are the lowest of the big winter tracks.
Most riders fly into Almería and stay on the coast, around Mojácar or in Almería itself. Expect cold first sessions in January and proper warmth by late morning.
Suits: everyone, especially your first trip abroad. Good value for multi-day stays.

Circuito de Andalucía: Almería's neighbour
Also in Almería province, about 35 minutes from Almería airport: the same dry weather and the same hotels. You can combine both tracks in one trip for variety. Noise limits are published: 105 dB(A) static and 92 drive-by, so check your exhaust before you pack.
Suits: riders who want more than one layout in a week. Pairs well with Almería.

Cartagena: small track, big grin
Cartagena is short, tight and busy with corners: it rewards corner speed rather than horsepower. It's about 25 minutes from Murcia airport and the coast stays mild through winter.
Suits: middle groups, 600s, naked bikes and anyone who'd rather corner than drag race.

Valencia (Ricardo Tormo): the stadium
The Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Cheste, about half an hour from Valencia, is the MotoGP stadium track: 4 km in a bowl, with the grandstands around you. The long main straight makes a 1000 feel at home and a 600 feel slow. The static noise limit is 106 dB(A).
It's the busiest winter circuit on BookREVS, with 32 track days from 9 organizers between January and March.
Suits: riders on bigger bikes, and anyone who wants to ride the track they've watched on TV.

Jerez: MotoGP's Spanish home
Jerez is the Spanish MotoGP round and a winter testing track for MotoGP and World Superbike teams, because the winter weather here is kind. The motorcycle layout is 4.4 km of fast, flowing corners. Jerez airport is close by; Seville is about an hour away.
It's also the busiest circuit for organizers: 11 of them run here this winter.
Suits: intermediate and fast riders. Not the cheapest track on this list.

Which circuit is right for you?
- First trip abroad: Almería or Cartagena. Forgiving, good value, easy logistics.
- 600 or naked bike: Cartagena or Almería. You won't lose half a lap on the straight.
- 1000 and quick: Valencia or Jerez.
- A full week on track: Almería plus Andalucía. Two tracks, one hotel.
- On a budget: Almería in January.
Getting your bike there
- Organizer transport. It's what most riders do: you drop the bike at a collection point, fly down, and ride.
- Rent a bike. Some organizers rent track bikes on site against a deposit. Easier, but it won't be set up for you.
- Ride down. Possible, but most riders who've tried it say once was enough: two long days each way, plus tyres and fuel.
Cold mornings and tyres
The first session of the day can be chilly, especially in January. Use tyre warmers, give the tyres a lap or two before you push, and save your hero lap for the afternoon. Groups are set by lap time, so you'll ride with people at your pace.
Packing checklist
- Full leathers, back protector, boots, gloves, helmet
- Tyre warmers, a European plug adaptor and a multi-socket extension lead
- Paddock stands with your name on them
- Basic tools, cable ties, duct tape, tyre pressure gauge
- Fuel can
- Bike key and a spare
- Insurance that covers track riding (the European health card isn't enough)
- Sunglasses and sun cream. Really.
FAQ
Do I need a race licence? No. Track days aren't races. You need a valid road licence, full protective gear and a bike that passes the noise check.
Can I go alone? Yes, and plenty of riders do. Groups are set by lap time, and the paddock is a friendly place.
What's included? Usually track time in your group, a briefing and often timing. Pit boxes, tyres and transport are often extra. Every event page on BookREVS lists what's included.
What if it rains? It's rare in winter in the southeast, but it happens. Each organizer's terms are on the event page.
When should I book? Now, for January and February. Those dates fill first.
Every date above is live from BookREVS: when a track day sells out or a new one is added, this page updates on its own. Find the date that works, check the organizer's transport pickup nearest you, and book it. See you in the sun.
